Great Yarmouth First was established by Rupert Lowe on 1 December 2025 as a local political party to contest council elections. Five councillors stood under its banner at Norfolk county council elections.

Rupert Lowe has represented Great Yarmouth as Member of Parliament since July 2024. He was elected on the Reform UK ticket with 35.3% of the vote and a majority of 1,426.
Since his election, Lowe has raised local issues in Parliament and established Great Yarmouth First as a local political party to represent constituency interests at council level.
